About Us
Consulting and Training Services
JLZ Associates is a domestic and international consulting firm specializing in work with federally funded health care providers, non-profit organizations, USAID and state Departments of Corrections. With over 51 years experience in finance, administration, executive coaching, human resource development, training, grant writing, sustainability and planning, JLZ Associates offers clients skills, knowledge and experience to enhance their management and operations.
Clients and Services
JLZ Associates has worked with numerous clients, domestically and internationally, to strengthen their sustainability through effective management and sound financial administration, development of strategic and long range plans, identification and hiring of key management staff, and improving staff skills. Jeffrey's primary focus is on Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs). He has personally visited more than 300 FQHC's in all 50 states, the Pacific Rim nations, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. He provides a wide range of technical assistance services to Community Health Centers (CHCs). The firm has also provided services for state Departments of Corrections in healthcare cost analysis.

Mission
The mission of JLZ Associates is to assist organizations to best meet the needs of their clients through effective and efficient administration, sound financial management, a clear understanding of board roles and responsibilities, and visionary planning.
Expertise
The firm's primary areas of expertise include health care management, financial sustainability and recovery plan studies, governance and financial systems analysis, strategic planning,
executive coaching, and correctional department healthcare cost studies.
Jeffrey L. Zonis, MBA, MPA, President and CEO of JLZ Associates, has over 48 years experience as a CEO, CFO, and management consultant. Jeffrey earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics with a minor in Philosophy from the University of Pittsburgh in 1970. He completed his Masters in Business Administration at the University of Pittsburgh in 1972 and his Masters in Public Administration in 1978. He is a Certified Association Executive (CAE).
Jeffrey spent twenty-seven years in a traditional career track, learning much about leadership, management, finance, organizational development and culture, fund raising, board development, human resources, lobbying and technology. In 1999 he relocated to Arizona and started his own consulting firm. He utilizes his experience as a health care administrator and domestic and international consultant to meet the special needs of individuals and organizations.
Jeffrey enjoys travel, jogging, movies, reading, and time with friends.
